On the left a rare view of the Everett, Edgcumbe & Co. Limited, electrical engineering works. It was here that the first aeroplane made in Hendon in 1909 and from here that Hendon aerodrome was born. The aeroplane failed to fly but the aerodrome became world famous. The site is now occupied by the Technology Park engineers
