This street probably takes its name from the Vicarage located further up, one or two houses are still recognisable today

This is the old post office built in the c1900 with its VR wall box
The Prince Albert is the large building in foreground in the distance is the "Swiss Cottage" and in the middle ground the delightfully named "Chatterbox Road"
Princes Parade, Claverley Grove, Princes Avenue were constructed in the 1900s on the grounds of Claverley House and Field Cottage. The post box marks the junction with Princes Avenue.
