Mr Prescott, Headmaster Bexleyheath Central School for Boys c.1940

Mr Prescott in the uniform of a Volunteer Reserve, Air Training Corps. Mr Prescott was Headmaster of Bexleyheath Central School during the 1930s, a firm disciplinarian. Many a boy will remember waiting outside his study for 'six of the best' across the backside! Boys who went to the school during Mr Prescott's time as Head were known as 'Prescott's boys'. He was renowned for the school productions of Gilbert and Sullivan's musicals aided by the then music master, Mr Cantor.
