Two views showing the old and new Shot Mills in Lambeth situated to the east and west of Waterloo Bridge, built to manufacture leadshot. The old shot mill, on the left, was established in 1789, and ceased production after it caught fire in1826. The new Shot Tower, seen on the right, was built in 1826 and became a feature of the Festival of Britain in 1951 when its use for the manufacture of leadshot was halted.
