Dollis Brook water fall 1900

The weir, the lake which stood west of the bridge until the 1900s, and the small island in the Dollis Brook just beyond may have serviced a watermill. The field which the Dollis passes at this point was called Mill Field in the 1720s

The Baldfaced Stag was rebuilt in 1880 and the shop adjacent is dated 1907. Fairlawn House, left and redeveloped in 1913, still has its gounds.
