The Priory, Bedford Hill, Balham. A Regency Gothic villa built in 1812 and converted into flats in 1981-2. The building achieved national fame as the location for the celebrated Victorian mystery, the 'Bravo poisoning', in 1876. Engraving, considered to be from the Illustrated London News, c.1876.
