COADE STONE LION, WATERLOO RAILWAY STATION, WATERLOO

View from York Road looking at the Coade stone lion outside Waterloo station. The lion originally stood on top of the Red Lion Brewery building on the South Bank. When the brewery was demolished during 1950's, the lion was placed outside the station. In 1966 it was moved to its present home on the south side of Westminster Bridge.
