CHURCH BUILDINGS, CLAPHAM COMMON NORTH SIDE

View along Clapham Common North Side. Nos. 13-23 North Side, were originally known as Church Buildings, and were erected between the years 1713 and 1720. It was at no 14 that Zachary Macaulay, the Abolitionist, moved his school for boys from Africa. Later the house became known as the Clapham Academy.
