The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr William's visit to St Leonard's Church on 13th June 1944 during Streatham's Religion and Life Week. Throughout the worst of the blitzes Streatham clergy were continually among the people providing accommodation to the homeless, holding services in shelters and helping in Civil Defence.
