LAMBETH RECTORY, LAMBETH ROAD, LAMBETH

Lambeth Rectory seen on the left from Lambeth Road. Lambeth Rectory was the residence of the Rectors of St.Mary's Church, Lambeth. It was built in 1778 by William Head and Joseph Buckmaster on a piece of waste ground given for the purpose by the Archbishop Cornwallis. The land was formerly the site of one of the manorial pounds.
