Henry Lewis Doulton, son of Sir Henry Doulton of Doulton Potteries, Lambeth, took over the business on the death of his father in 1897. He became Chairman of the Board of Directors when the company was converted on January 1st 1899, into a limited company. Photograph published in 'Renaissance of Art Pottery in Lambeth' by W.H.Brown.
