Various effects were achieved by the Doulton Potteries in their main factory in Lambeth where artists of a very high calibre were encouraged to try out new methods and designs. Examples such as these Doulton 'Persian Ware' bowls, plates and vases designed by William Rowe, were typical of items exhibited at all the major trade fares which won acclaim and awards for Doulton internationally. Photograph in 'The Royal Doulton Potteries' published by the Doulton Head Office in Lambeth.
