Lambeth Palace Chapel following damage by high explosive bombs and incendiaries in World War II. Restoration work on the chapel was carried out at a later dated, much of the fine woodwork installed by Archbishop Laud had been salvaged and was reinstalled. The Palace is the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Photograph published in the Sphere, May 3rd 1947.
