PREFABRICATED HOUSE, STERNHOLD AVENUE, STREATHAM

Prefabricated building at the bottom of Sternhold Avenue, by Tooting Common, next to the railway embankment which can be seen at the rear. One of the last occupied prefabs in Streatham erected in c.1948, it was demolished c.1985. Note the temporary post-war road sign in front of the hedge.
