Park Court in Clapham Park Road, a large block of luxury flats built in the early 1900s, was altered in 1978 when the top two floors were demolished reducing the height to three storeys and introducing new security entrances, boundary walls and additions to the rear of the building. A change that may not have happened in the 2000s, when the shortage of housing in London discourages any loss of dwelling units. This view shows the junction with Abeville Road and Acre Lane, note the children playing by the old signpost in the centre, inconceivable with traffic conditions today.
