‘SPRINGWELL’ AND ‘NORTHSIDE’, CLAPHAM COMMON

'Springwell and Northside', were large houses on Clapham Common Northside, probably named after the original spring well off North Side which provided the parish water supply, and was moved twice to different locations to meet the increasing demand. Both houses were sold for development in 1885, and all that remains is a small section of the building seen on the far right.
