Aytoun Road, Brixton North, (between Sydney Road and Rumsey Road), showing a mixture of Victorian terraced and semi-detached houses, the large houses on the right reflecting the prosperity of the residents. All the houses seen in the picture have been demolished and the road now runs through the centre of a large public housing estate (c.1960), which is in the process of being refurbished in 2003.
