Grove Road, Brixton North. Dating from the mid 19th century new streets with large detached and semi-detached houses such as these were being developed as part of the garden suburbs within commuting distance of the city. Grove Road (now Groveway) and Lorn Road were developed on the gardens of a large private house called Fir Grove. Linskey Postcard Collection.
