VIOLETTE SZABO

Violet Szabo (1921-1945), member of the S.O.E. F Section in World War II. Tortured and put to death at Ravensbruck Concentration Camp, posthumously awarded the George Cross, spent much of her childhood and youth in Brixton. Her daughter, seen below, lived with her parents in Burnley Road, Brixton. Article and photographs published in the Daily Mail, 18th December 1946.
