Aerial view of Waterloo Bridge and the north bank of the River Thames, showing St Pauls and bridges east of Waterloo. Waterloo bridge was built between 1811 - 1817. It was demolished in 1936 to make way for the new bridge built between 1937 - 1942. This view from the Shot Tower built in 1826, situated close to the foot of the bridge in Lambeth. Drawn by C.Marshall and engraved by W.Henshall, c.1850.
