Portrait photograph of Phoebe Anderson in hat and sunglasses. Her sister recalls: Phoebe first found fame as a young girl during the war around the age of 10, after she won a prize for singing at the Welsh Eisteddfod. As a teenager she wanted to get into films and had a few small parts, filming at Pinewood and Denham studios. Later she was a dancer in the chorus line at a number of theatres in London and Bristol.
