Clapham Library, Clapham Common North Side, was built in 1889, to a design entitled 'light' by the architect E.B.I'Anson. The library was opened by Lord Avebury on 31st October 1889. A great deal of window area and ceiling light wells provide ample light supplemented by suspended artificial lighting.
