Clapham Library, Clapham Common North Side, was built in 1889, to a design entitled 'light' by the architect E.B.I'Anson. The library was opened by Lord Avebury on 31st October 1889. A great deal of window area and ceiling light wells provide ample light supplemented by suspended artificial lighting. View of the main issue desk and the arched entrance door from the vestibule on the right.
