St George Wharf is a contemporary development of residential and office accommodation on a 7-acre former brown field site at the southern end of Vauxhall Bridge overlooking the River Thames. The remains of the River Effra still flow into the Thames beneath the site. The developers were St George South London Ltd and the architects, Broadway Malyan. This photograph was taken in 2004 during construction from Millbank. Digital image courtesy of Penelope Gretton, 2004
