Houses on Gipsy Hill, Upper Norwood. Originally named King William IV Hill after a public house on the hill, it was later renamed to commemorate the gipsy encampments on Norwood Common. A Mrs Lee, who lived next to the pub, was said to be the last of the Norwood gipsies. Photographed on 26th March 2004. Digital image courtesy of Keith Holdaway, 2004.
