RAF LECTURE CLASS: WORLD WAR II

Charles Gower instructing RAF personnel. He was from Streatham and transferred from RAF police service to work at the Air Defence of Great Britain in the RAF map department and was based at Kensington Gate, London. He was responsible for noting down the movements of bombers, fighter squadrons and radar units. He also had to plot the V1 and V2 launch sites across the Channel for Bomber Command to plan air raid strategy.Digital image by kind permission of Graham Gower.
