Courtlands is one of many large detached houses originally built along Palace Road. The road was for a time a private gated road forming part of the Roupell Park Estate. It is named after the Crystal Palace which was rebuilt on Sydenham Hill in 1854.Digital image courtesy of Graham Gower.
