The Rogers' Almshouses in Ferndale Road, Brixton were relocated here c.1856 by the Corporation of London. They were originally founded in the 17th century by Robert Rogers who bequeathed £600 for the building of almshouses in Hart Street, Cripplegate. This Brixton site also incorporates the City of London Freemans' Almshouses and the Gresham Almshouses. Photographed on 1st June 2005.Digital image courtesy of Penelope Gretton.
