SUNLIGHT BUILDING, ACRE LANE, BRIXTON

The Sunlight laundry building in Acre Lane Brixton, was opened in 1937 and has distinctive Art Deco styling. By 1950 there were 400 members of staff employed to launder 200,000 items each week.
