A Girls' Friendly Society troupe in the garden of a teacher's house in Herne Hill. The troupe was associated with St John's church in Lowden Road and met once a week for rehearsal. Doris Bird is 4th from the right and recalls that they often performed for the eldery and it involved 'alot of kicking legs about to music'.
