South Lodge, South Side Clapham Common, was the home of department store owner Frederick Gorringe from 1896-1920. In 1929 it became the Henry Thornton Boys' Secondary School, but was demolished in 1966, along with the adjacent Stowey House (on the right), to make way for a new comprehensive school.
