The earliest known photograph of Holy Trinity Church, Clapham Common, taken by Henry Deane and seen from across Cock Pond. Deane was the local chemist and a keen amateur photographer and his shop at 17 The Pavement, still survives today. In 1843 he married Jemima Elliott, who ran a school at Weimar House. He also became a churchwarden. Copy print c.1930 from original photograph.
