HOLY TRINITY VICARAGE GARDEN, LAMBETH

View north-east towards the chimney of Field's factory, seen from the Holy Trinity vicarage garden and also showing recent World War II bomb damage. J.C.& J.Field Ltd, in Upper Marsh Lambeth, were the oldest candle-making firm in Britain, first established about 1642 and surviving on the same site in Lambeth for 300 years. The war damage sealed its fate, and the factory was subsequently demolished. From the Gedge albums.
