Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother viewing the 'Canterbury Tales' mural by Edward Bawden (shown here with his wife) at the official opening in October 1958 of the rebuilt Morley College. A previous mural painted by him and Eric Ravilious in 1928-30 had been destroyed, along with much of the college, by bombing in 1940.
