'The Book of Thel' illustrated title page by William Blake published in 1789. Blake (1751 -1827) was a poet and artist of renown, who lived in Hercules Buildings, Lambeth, with his wife Catherine from 1790 - 1800. Here he wrote some of his most well-known poems including 'Songs of Experience', and 'America'. The house was demolished c.1917-18.
