THE HORNS TAVERN, KENNINGTON PARK ROAD, KENNINGTON

THE HORNS TAVERN, KENNINGTON PARK ROAD, KENNINGTON

The Horns Tavern on the corner of Kennington and Kennington Park Roads, here in a state of dereliction. A combination of wartime damage and Victorian architecture being out of favour, led to the demolition c.1965 of this local landmark. A government office block was subsequently built on the site.
