View looking south down Montford Place, Kennington towards James Burrough's Ltd, gin distillers. Originally the building belonged to Haywards the pickle manufacturers, but was bomb-damaged in World War II. This is the distiller's third London site since the firm was established in 1820 by James Burroughs, a chemist, and is the home of Beefeater London Dry Gin. The gin is made from distilled grain spirit of about 98% pure alcohol, with added 'botanicals' - which include juniper, coriander, almond, angelica, liquorice, orris root and lemon peel.
