CARTRAIN ARTWORK, CANS FESTIVAL, WATERLOO

Artwork at the Cans Festival, Leake Street, Waterloo, by London artist Cartrain. Cartrain (born c.1992) is the alias of teenager from Leytonstone whose work often satirises fast food companies and politicians. He cites fellow graffiti artist Banksy as 'a huge inspiration' and his artworks often appear adjacent to Banksy's sites. The Clint Eastwood image is by another artist.The Festival, which ran from 3rd-5th May, was organised by Pictures on Walls with the collaboration of Banksy and Eurostar. It was the world's largest ever exhibition of street art and featured over 40 international artists, attracting 30,000 visitors. Digital image dated 5th May 2008.
