The London Nautical School, Stamford Street, Waterloo. Although now altered, the school was originally built by the Benevolent Society of St Patrick to educate 400 children born of Irish parents. The Nautical School was founded in 1915 as a consequence of the official report into the loss of the Titanic. It is a comprehensive secondary school for boys affiliated with HMS Richmond and has been awarded 'sports college' status.Photograph by Sam Lambert.
