TUNNEL 228 POSTER, STATION APPROACH, WATERLOO

Poster on the wall advertising the Tunnel 228 art project held in a derelict railway tunnel off Station Approach, Waterloo. The project was instigated by the Old Vic's Artistic Director Kevin Spacey and Punchdrunk, an innovative performance art company. It ran from 8th May 2009 for 15 days and the 15,000 free tickets on offer were claimed within 24 hours. This poster is from the 'Facilities Safety Directive' inviting the public to enjoy their work with each participating 'worker' being issued with a protective mask. The largest artwork was an engineered piece by Ben Tyers extending Heath Robinson-like across several cavernous railway arches. Digital photograph dated 25th May 2009.From the Graffiti Gallery, recording Lambeth's urban art
