The wedding of Louisa Marks and Dennis Pratt held at St Mary-at-Lambeth, Lambeth Palace Road on 3rd September 1944. The wedding was unusually held on a Sunday, with the couple granted special permission due to the ongoing war and Dennis being enlisted in the navy. The newly-weds pose here in the bridal car on the forecourt of Lambeth Palace. Dennis lived in Ethelred Street and his Louisa came from Millcote Street, Southwark.
