Olive Morris in discussion with a WPC outside her squat at 2 Talma Road, Brixton. Olive first became involved with community activism in the late 1960s as a member of the Brixton Youth Section of the British Black Panther Movement. She set up the 121 Railton Road squat in 1973 which survived until 1999. Olive was the co-founder of the Brixton Black Women's Group in 1974 and the Organisation of Women of Asian and African Descent (OWAAD) in 1978.Part of the Olive Morris Collection, created and donated by Mike McColgan, Liz Obi and the Remembering Olive Morris Collective.
