RECLINING FIGURE BY JAMES BUTLER, CLEAVER SQUARE, KENNINGTON

'Reclining Figure' by James Butler A.R.A. in Cleaver Square, Kennington. The sculpture was carved from Clipsham stone by James Butler when he was a student at the City & Guilds of London School of Art and was exhibited at the Royal Academy. The plinth was designed by Borough architect Edward (Ted) Hollamby ARIBA and the unveiling took place on 29th April 1968. Photograph by Sam Lambert
