The Moscoretsky [or Moskvoretsky] Russian delegation being presented with Doulton figurines by the Mayor on an official visit to Lambeth Town Hall on the 1st July 1963. The delegates were from a district of Moscow 'with which Lambeth maintains friendly ties', becoming one of Lambeth's twinned towns. The delegation toured sights of Lambeth including: Tulse Hill Comprehensive School, the Telephone Manufacturing Co. Ltd (Martell Road), Canterbury Gardens Estate, Marks and Spencers (Brixton Road), Barrington Lodge Old People's Home, London Fire Brigade Headquarters, South Island Public Library and Prince of Wales public house.
