An application for a Lambeth library reader's ticket from Margaret Rose Brough, with the guarantor Lionel Brough - here listed as a 'Comedian', of Percy Villa, South Lambeth. Mr Brough (1836-1909) was a noted actor who joined the theatrical profession in 1853, playing Shakesperian and other parts in Sir Herbert Beerbohn Tree's London, American and provincial companies.
