An advertising leaflet for a 'Great Pedestrian Feat' between Fritz Kapernick of the German Imperial Guards and Charles Bloom of the Scotch Fusilier Guards for a prize of £200. The contest was to be held at the Clapham & Brixton Baths in Ferndale Road, Brixton, with the added attraction that 'both soldiers will run in full uniform and carry rifle and knapsack'.
