Residents on the steps of Rosemead House, No.126 Atkins Road, Balham. Rosemead was a hostel run by Lambeth Social Services to accommodate young men with mental health issues. It was part of Clapham Park, a mid-Victorian estate of large villas laid out by Thomas Cubitt, the majority of these were demolished by the LCC in the 1940s and 50s to built Clapham Park Estate.From Public Relations Photographs & Negatives, dated 16th October 1986
