A lamp-lighters account book with the amount (£7.11.0) owed by Mr George Hewitt from services from 29th September 1834 - 25th March 1835. The tasks undertaken included; trimming 5 stable lamps for 6 months £4.17.6 (at 9-pence each per week),trimming and lighting 1 yard lamp, part of lighting a street lamp and coach yard, plus glazing an omnibus lamp. Hewitt was a coachmaster of Brixton Washway.From Lamp Book of a Kennington Lamp-Lighter, 1829-44.
