Claudia Jones, seen centre right, on board a ship belonging to the Grimaldi Siosa line. The captain, seen to the right of Faye Sparks, winner of the 1959 Caribbean Carnival beauty queen competition, was an acquaintance of Claudia Jones (editor of the West Indian Gazette).
