ST JOHN’S TEMPORARY CHURCH, ELLIOTT ROAD, BRIXTON NORTH

The temporary mission church for St John's in Elliott Road, Brixton North. This church opened in 1868 occupying the ground floor with a 'middle class' school on the upper level. The first vicar was Daniel T.W. Elsdale. The congregation moved to the adjacent new-built St John's church in Vassall Road in 1874.
