LARKHALL PARK SITE, STOCKWELL

A view of houses awaiting demolition on the proposed site for Larkhall Park. The three-stage redevelopment included the compulsory purchase and demolition of early Victorian houses including Lansdowne Way and Larkhall Lane by the GLC, but with the site being transfered to Lambeth Council, later funding issues meant the plan was not fully implemented and some buildings were saved.
